A plasma cutter is a device that slices through conducting materials. It uses an extremely hot and super-fast stream of plasma to do it. Many materials can be cut out with a plasma cutter such as metals, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, alloy steel and much more.
Plasma cutters are used in a very broad set of applications from home DIY to giant industries. They are commonly used by manufacturing shops, construction and local metal workers, scrapping and salvage operations, industrial construction, and mechanical development.
The Lotos LTP5000D has a non-touch pilot arc with dual voltage from 110 V to 120 V that produces up to 1/2 an inch of clean cuts. It uses IGBT technology to deliver fast, precise, and neat cuts. It features in our list of the top plasma cutters.
This technology was not always compact; it used to be only found in heavy industries with gigantic work areas. The LTP5000D offers the same technology in a portable device.
Non-Touch Pilot Arc
The Lotos LTP5000D uses the newest non-touch pilot arc which smoothly slices through painted, rough, and rusty materials with minimum effort.
This plasma cutter works even without touching the surface of the metal. It enables better durability and enhanced cutting quality. The LTP5000D utilizes non-hazardous air which is compressed to cut through stainless steel, mild steel, alloy steel, aluminum and copper.
The Lotos LTP5000D features MOSFET transistors which are famous for producing a uniform and non-varying output, which results in clean and neat cuts on thin metal and a particularly high-power output for thicker metals.
Its maximum severance thickness is ¾ inches, and the maximum cut thickness is a half inch.

The Lotos LTP5000D plasma cutter is durable, long-lasting and smooth. I wouldn't recommend it for use in a factory, but if you are looking for a device to use for your hobbies or for completing projects around your house, it should work for you.
It is incredibly easy to set up - so much so that the manual is not really required.
The automatic dual voltage system works well; for heavier and thicker cuts, it switches automatically to higher voltages and comes back to the lower ones when the cuts are lighter.
Making a cut is extremely easy and even a 10-year-old can easily do it. (But probably shouldn't!)
Best of all, Lotos offers great customer service. It responds fast and changes faulty equipment without any hassle.
Overall, it is a very good machine and I would definitely recommend it. Just make sure you do not end up using for heavy-duty projects because it is not cut out for those tasks.
